Scholarship for the Public Sphere

Research Interests:

I work at the intersection of philosophy and theology. Within the philosophy of religion, my primary concern is the problem of evil—how we should understand and frame it and what it means pastorally for individuals and communities. Historically, I’m drawn to post-Kantian thought, especially Dostoevsky, Hegel, and Nietzsche, and the ways their ideas have shaped developments in the field. I also have interests in the development of Christian thought and how we can use these developments as a mode of revelation. Alongside formal study, I pursue public scholarship, aiming to translate research into teaching and media that cultivates critical thinking and constructive conversation.
