Fishing Adventure in Singapore

A journey around Lower Seletar and Pulau Ubin

When people think of Singapore, skyscrapers and bustling city streets often come to mind. But hidden within this island nation are peaceful escapes for anglers looking to connect with nature. On my latest trip, I set out to explore three of the most scenic fishing spots in Singapore: Pulau Ubin and Lower Seletar Reservoir.

Pulau Ubin offers a rustic, back-to-nature experience that feels a world away from the city. Lower Seletar, with its calm reservoir setting, is ideal for those who prefer a slower pace and quiet atmosphere.

Together, these destinations reveal the surprising diversity of fishing in Singapore—where saltwater meets freshwater, and urban landscapes give way to natural retreats. Whether you’re an avid angler or just looking for a new side of Singapore to discover, these spots are worth adding to your travel list.

One small thing to note, the location seen in many videos on Pulau Ubin is actually private property. Thus, despite finding the spot, we were unable to access it.
